DO NOT AGREE TO ANY TYPE OF SURGERY WITHOUT APPROVAL FROM INSURANCE COMPANY NO MATTER WHAT THEY TELL YOU DO NOT BELIEVE THEM!I went to the office for my droopy eyelids, the problem is the lady I was being called by"kay I believe she said her name was" for my surgery said 'DON'T WORRY INSURANCE WILL PAY" we need to get you into surgery I said I wanted to wait until my insurance said ok but she talked me into going with my sister because Insurance Always Pays" Don't Worry! well needless to say Insurance did not pay, I had to go for arbitration with the insurance company to get one of them paid, they refused to pay for both.So I was working with the billing dept at the Doctors office trying to get this paid she was talking with the billing at the Southgate Surgery center, after months of calling I was told it was all taken care of they would except the money from the insurance billing that I went to arbitration for all the entire bill. So in the mean time I was continuing to pay Southgate Surgery After I was told by billing dept I did not need to continue to pay so I stopped paying thinking it was all good well a year later without any other billing they sent it to collection agency, I'm being sued for 961.00 dollars. I have this guy trying to serve me that is a jerk being rude for something I thought I paid for. Never agree to surgery without first getting it approved BY YOUR INSURANCE. They will tell you what you want to hear then you will be stuck with a bill like mine. I always pay my bills I take pride in keeping my credit good then this happens. So beware of this Eye Dr Office
